Victor Abente Brun

He is currently the largest local expert in Intellectual Property in activity. His long career in this and other areas allowed a steady growth of professional activities both nationally and internationally, being part of practically numerous private and public initiatives of the profession.

Graduated from the National University of Asunción, he was part of the advisory team for the drafting of the Law on Trademarks No. 751 of the year 1979. Subsequently, he was hired for the drafting of Law 1294/98 on Trademarks as well as Law 1630/2000 of Patents, both valid today.

He came to the position of Director of Industrial Property, under the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in the period 1998-2003, being in charge in addition to all the responsibilities of the office, representing the country in Mercosur negotiations on property Intellectual.

Active member of local and international associations, attends congresses and seminars participating as an exhibitor on numerous occasions.
